How to play MindHive

MindHive is an online word association game for 2 or 3 people. Play with a friend, your partner, or a group of three. No download or sign-up: create a room, share the invite, and find your shared wavelength.

1. Bring your people. Choose 2 or 3 players and a round time. Create a private room and share the invite link or 8-digit room code. Once everyone joins, the host starts.
2. Think of a word. Keep it secret. Everyone enters a word or short phrase. Words are revealed together when everyone submits or the timer runs out.
3. Find the connection. If the words differ, think of a new word that connects the previous round’s words. Keep going until everyone submits the same word.

For example: Moon + Pillow → Night + Dream → Sleep + Sleep.

Choose 30 seconds, 60 seconds, or a custom time from 10 to 300 seconds. Each game lasts up to 30 rounds. Answers can contain 1–16 characters. Matching ignores letter case and extra spaces; synonyms and translations do not count as a match. Missing answers do not count.

Private rooms last 2 hours. A waiting seat is released after 90 seconds offline; during an active game, a player being offline for more than 65 seconds ends the game. Keep the room open while playing.

Random matching groups players using the same interface language, room size and round time. There are no bots, so you may need to wait for another player. When inviting friends, agree on a language for your words.
